Surgical Associates has provided comprehensive, safe surgical care for half a century. We take as much pride in rendering thoughtful consultations as we do in our technically superb handiwork.
Patient care at Surgical Associates is provided by a team of surgeons, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses. We work closely with each other, our patients, and their primary care physicians to ensure clear communication and a unified approach to patient care.

In-office surgery
Our in-office surgical service is comprehensive because, like our patients, we are concerned about convenient, affordable health care. We have two dedicated surgical procedure rooms in our suite of offices where a wide variety of minor operations are performed under local anesthesia.
Surgicare Center
An alternaive to in-office surgery is outpatient surgery at Cayuga Medical Center's Surgicare facility, adjacent to the Convenient Care Center.
In-patient surgery
Each of our surgeons serves on the medical staff of Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca. Our physician's assistants and nurse practitioner have medical center privileges, as well, so that they may assist us in the operating room and in caring for our hospital patients. This approach provides continuity of patient care, beginning with the initial office visit and carrying through pre-hospital preparations, surgery and hospitalization, discharge planning, follow-up care, and the recuperation period.
