Many surgical problems do not require the highly skilled training of a general surgeon, but can be more appropriately handled by our physician assistant or nurse practitioner. They are also available to our patients during office hours to answer questions over the phone.
Charles A. Lindsey, R.P.A.-C. is a board-certified physician's assistant with 23 years of experience. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska Medical College. After completing his service in the U.S. Navy, he continued his education at the Yale University School of Medicine with a surgical residency for physician's assistants.
Catherine B. Eckenrode, R.N., F.N.P.-C. is a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner, who has been with Surgical Associates for fourteen years. She graduated from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania and, after extensive nursing experience, went on to complete nurse practitioner training at Community General Hospital in Syracuse, New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Christopher L. Peck, R.P.A.-Cis a board-certified physician assistant, in practice for 19 years. He received his undergraduate degree from Houghton College in biology and psychology. He then entered the three-year physician assistant program at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and subsequently completed one year of post-graduate work in surgery at Norwalk Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Yale University.
